| March 1st 1986, a date of revelation and new beginnings. It was this day that I threw myself into the world with a fistful of crayons and an immediate craving for coffee. Granted, I would not be born if it were not for the help of a beach bunny from Florida and a German-Cajun boy out of DC, but I like to think it was mostly my idea.
Artistic training took its initial steps through various how-to-draw horses books, studying Lisa Frank trapperkeepers, and two years of painting whales in elementary school. Self-teaching progressed to a few highschool courses, proceeded by clusters of Art History and Graphic Design centered courses at Portland State University. I am as of yet not graduated, but earning my BFA with dual concentration in Fine Arts and Graphic Design.
I am currently balancing work, study, Vanguard comics & illustrations, and freelance work for anyone willing to hire me. Sometimes I forget to eat and sleep, so a gentle reminder is nice. |
